Harold Simpson

Memorials may be made to Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Harold "Hoppy" Simpson, of Wentzville, Missouri, died on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Lola Simpson (nee: Johnson); dear son of the late Frank and Hattie D. Simpson; devoted father of Stanford (Gloria) Simpson; cherished grandfather of Chris (Kim) Simpson and Crystal (Derrick) Thomas; dear great-grandfather of Mercedes Simpson, Deyanna Simpson, Derrick Thomas, II, and Davin Thomas; dear brother of Wilma Grimmett and Mervin Simpson; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews; and dear cousin to many. He is preceded in death by his siblings Archie Simpson, Frank Simpson, Jr., Eugene Simpson, Onward Buckner, Ermas Buckner, and Marian Simpson. Harold was a Maintenance Technician at Wentzville School District for many years, was a police officer with Wentzville Police Department, and was employed by the Storment Oil Company. Harold was also a charter member of Wentzville-Lake St. Louis Optimist Club and a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years (baptized in 1953).
