Harry Arthur Benhardt

Harry Arthur Benhardt, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Margaret "Margie" Benhardt; cherished son of the late Harry F. and Eleanor "Sis" Benhardt. Devoted father of Heather (Mark) Wilkinson, Harry Alexander (Kelly) Benhardt, and Hugh (Amber) Benhardt; loving grandfather of Kaylee, Dani, Harry C., Alex, Mark, Elliot, Mikey, Hudson, and Eleanna; dear brother of Donald (the late Mary Jo) Benhardt; beloved nephew, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Harry graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He retired after 39 years of dedicated service to Ameren’s Sioux Power Plant. Harry had a life-long interest in math, science and all areas of education. He sought to continually learn through his books, his national and international travel, and his passion for historical sites, museums and National Parks/Monuments. In his spare time he enjoyed games, comic books, cards, puzzles, trivia, camping, golf and sports, especially the Cardinals and Blues.  He always saw the best in everybody and enjoyed life to the fullest. Harry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
