Harry Bartold

Harry Bartold Sr. of St. Louis, MO, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Bartold; cherished son of the late Harry and Emma Bartold; devoted father of Bud (Joy) Bartold and the late Mike Bartold, and father-in-law of Jane Bartold; loving grandfather of Shanan (Joe) Litteken, Veronica (Matt) Dollard, Jen (Jamie) Wilmes, Mike (Sheri) Bartold, Julie Bartold, and Jeff Bartold; treasured great-grandfather of Stephanie, Lyndsey, Kelsey, Melanie, Matthew, Caitlin, Morgan, Molly, Will, Megan, and Jeffrey; great-great-grandfather of Adelynn, Landon, Isabella, and Marcella; and dear brother of Ruth Pope and Gloria Steging. Harry is also preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Rudar and Thelma Doyle.

Harry proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII before returning home and dedicating many years as a Cement Mason with Vee Jay Cement Contractors before retiring. He also flew airplanes, operated Ham Radios, and loved tending to his gardens. Harry was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
