Hattie Ruth (Howard) Sutton, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the age of 83. Dear mother of Kenneth (Debbie) Sutton, and Barbara Corey, Shirley Goodwin; beloved grandmother of Becky (Bobby) Klein, Becky (Steve) Fleming, Heather (Paul) Walker, Stacy Sutton, Aaron (Gena) Sutton, John (Valerie) Goodnow, Joshua Corey, Bryan (Jennifer) Reif, Benjamin Reif, Cameron Goodwin and Gene (MaryAnn) Goodwin; great-grandmother of 17, dear sister of Marshall (Donna) Howard, Jr.,, Jennie (Dave) Hutchison, Sue Noyes and Sally (Douglas) Weekley and her sister-in-law, Patricia Sutton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Moe" Sutton, parents, Marshall and Edith Howard and one brother, Monte Howard. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, close friends and neighbors. In the past she worked as a school teacher, an executive secretary for Mobil Oil, and the St. Charles County Selective Service Board. More recently, she was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, reading, jewelry making, traveling and being with family. Interment will be held in the Versailles, MO Cemetery at a later date.
