Hector Amilcar Aberastury, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Stella Aberastury; cherished son of the late Amelia Aberastury and the late Amilcar (the late Gladys) Aberastury; devoted father of Andrea (Ariel Sancci) Aberastury, German Aberastury, Debora Aberastury, and Christian Aberastury; dear brother of Etelvina “Toti”, Eduardo, Sergio, Patricia, Fabian, and Karina; treasured cousin of Nancy Sommerville; loving grandfather of Lucas, Gustavo, Daira, Sofia, Luna, Martina, and great grandfather of Vicky, Ambar, and Dante.
Hector was married to his loving wife, Stella, for 39 years, and together they enjoyed traveling back home to Argentina and exploring other destinations. A true people person who never met a stranger, Hector had a deep love for Argentinian football and was a devoted River Plate fan. He and Stella owned and operated TANGO Argentina Food in St. Charles County, where he became affectionately known as the “Empanada Man.” A true Porteño at heart, he cherished tango music, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed listening to The Beatles. Above all, Hector was a proud father, grandfather, and husband, as well as a loyal and generous friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
