Helen ''Allah'' Diehr Coldwater, died on Thursday June 27, 2002 at Parkside Meadows Nursing Home in St. Charles, MO. She will lie in state at Baue Funeral Home 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM Friday, June 28 at Baue Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 5th and Jackson Streets in St. Charles at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 29. Interment will be at St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery. Helen Diehr Coldwater, wife of Dr. Kenneth B. Coldwater, was born on July 3, 1905 in St. Charles, MO. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. George Diehr. She leaves to mourn her death, a stepdaughter, Mary Ann Coldwater; a stepson, Kenneth Coldwater; (Mary) three nieces, Joyce Diehr Schneider (Dr. Thomas), Kathy Diehr (Gary) Pitcher, and Karen Diehr (Robert) Oelschlaeger; one nephew, George Diehr (Mary Ann). She has three step grandchildren, Katherine Weathers (Martin) Franz, Jason Coldwater (Celeste) and Kevin Coldwater. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. K.B. Coldwater; her parents; two sisters, Adel and Florence; four brothers, Dr. Alvin Diehr, George T. Diehr, Dr. Maurice Diehr, and Paul F. Diehr. She received her B.A. degree from Lindenwood College; she taught in St. Charles Public School, Clayton Public School and Mary Institute in Ladue, MO. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in St. Charles; St. Charles Historical Society; St. Louis Junior League; Chapter IL P.E.O.; St. Joseph Health Center Auxiliary; and the Alexander Chapter of the Eastern Star. Memorials may be donated to the donor's choice.
