Helen Hohengarten

Helen Hohengarten of St. Charles, MO, was called into the loving arms of Jesus Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Robert C. Hohengarten; cherished daughter of the late Steven and Helen Somogye; devoted mother of Mary Beth Hohengarten and Eileen (Terrance) Lahey; loving grandmother of Meghan (Richard) Sullivan and Helen "Anna" (Jeremy) Kaley; treasured great-grandmother of William Joseph Sullivan and Andrew Dylan Sullivan; dear sister of Mary (James) Canova, Anna (and the late Kenneth) Sadler, Julia (Donald) Kern, and Louise (and the late Stephen) Mihalic; and beloved sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Helen is also preceded in death by her sister: Aurelia (and the late Robert) Barco, and brothers: Steven Somogye, Joseph Somogye, Michael Somogye, and Albert Somogye.

Helen was very active in her children’s school’s PTA and the Riverview Gardens Women’s Circle. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, and reading. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and creating cherished memories. Helen was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
