Helen L. Mayden (nee Lawless), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late Wayne Carter Mayden; beloved daughter of the late Otho and Flossie Lawless; devoted mother of Burma Lea (Paul Madison) Wilkins, Kevin A. (Carol) Mayden, Debra J. (Paul) Martin, Anita L. (Powell) Hall, Roger K. Mayden, and Kerry G. (Beverly) Mayden; mother-in-law of Jeanine Mayden; cherished grandmother of sixteen, and great-grandmother of twenty, and great-great grandmother of two; dear sister of Lois. Helen is also preceded in death by her son, David Mayden; grandson, Jared Hall; and sisters, Lorraine Briner, and Wanda Jones-Pinnick and Lois Clouse.
Helen attended Lindenwood College where she received her bachelor's degree in art. She was just one credit shy of having her master’s degree. Most of her life, Helen was an assistant to the president of Lindenwood College and homemaker. She was a prolific artist and gifted painter. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing competitively in tournaments and leagues. Helen was a dog lover and over the years she had many dogs, including Shulz, Bootsie, and Chloe. Helen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
