Helen V. Griesé

Helen V. Griesé of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday, December 4th, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Albert Griesé; and her parents, Harry and Hazel Held.

Helen is survived by her children, Rebecca (Doug) Bruenning, Michael (Ann) Griesé, and Dave (Janette) Griesé; her grandchildren, Andrew Griesé, Scott Griesé, Daniel Griesé, and Zachary Bruenning; and her brother, Harry Benjamin Held.

Helen was a professional singer who taught at Central Methodist University and then public schools. She then lent her talent to singing at church and other events such as the Muni Opera in 1956 and 1958. She was a faithful member of First St. Charles United Methodist Church and loved her church community there. Helen also found friendship and community through her membership with the Order of the Eastern Star. For fun, Helen liked to bowl, play bridge or travel but she particularly loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
