Helenrose Bernice Jolly

Jolly, Helenrose Bernice (nee: Bruns), of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Dr. James Jolly, Sr.; preceded in death by her beloved parents Irvin G. and B. Edna Bruns. Devoted mother of Janet (John) Rau, Dr. James (Sharyn) Jolly, Jr., and David B. Jolly; cherished grandmother of Joann Jolly, Megan (Jeffrey) Brown, Andrew (Malia) Jolly, Mary Rau, Diana (Steven) McLaughlin, Stephen Rau, and great-grandmother of Andrew Jolly, Austin Jolly, and Adelaide McLaughlin; prized god-mother of Dr. Rebecca (Daniel) Schmidt-Abel; and cousin of John C. Schmidt. Mrs. Jolly is preceded in death by her brother Carleton I. Bruns and cousin John H. Schmidt. Mrs. Jolly received her Bachelor degree from Lindenwood, was a President of the Mothers Club at Immanuel Lutheran School, was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and a Bible class, and was in many Bridge Clubs over the years, one of which met for almost 70 years. She also served as President of Chapter IL of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Mrs. Jolly was the bookkeeper for her late husband, Dr. James Jolly, Sr., at his orthodontics office.
