Helga H. Skidmore (nee Schmidt) of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday April 17, 2018, at the age of 77.
Beloved wife of Billy Skidmore; devoted mother of Michele (Steven) Palmer, B. Terence Skidmore, and John Skidmore; loving grandmother of Cherie, Devin, and Allison; great-grandmother of Alexia and Rodrigo. Helga is preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Zapp and her son Brian Skidmore.
Helga was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany and came to the United States in 1960, where she built a wonderful home with her husband and children. She was tough as nails but kind and loving all the same. She loved listening to all kinds of music and having a good German beer. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her beloved canine companion Schatzi. Helga was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
