Pape, Elder Herbert Charles made the final journey to his heavenly home on Friday, December 11, 2009 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and many friends and loved ones who awaited him. Dear husband of the late Violet E. Pape (nee: Felchlia), beloved father of Herbert L. (Carolyn) Pape, Wesley A. (Nancy) Pape, Ola M. (Ray) Preston, Janet A. (Ken) Howard, and Mary Beth (Charles) Miller. Beloved grandfather of 20, great-grandfather of 30, and great-great grandfather of 10. Honorary grandfather and great-grandfather. Dearest brother of Elvira Aderholt, Margaret Perryman, the late Hazel Barnard, the late Thelma Close, and the late Juanita Joseph. Our dear friend, neighbor, and brother in Christ. Mr. Pape was a retired Baptist minister who pastored several Landmark Missionary Baptist churches throughout the years. "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints."
