Herbert E. Muench

Rev. Herbert E. Muench, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 86. Loving husband of the late Melba Carol Muench; beloved son of the late John B. and Norma Muench; devoted father of Norma Muench, Loren Muench, and Mark (Karen) Muench; cherished grandfather of Amanda (Kevin) Young, Ashley (Brian Epstein) Muench, Aubrey Muench, and Alyssa Muench; dear brother of LeRoy (Aldine) Muench, George (Doris) Muench, Charles (Bonnie) Muench, Rev. Dr. Paul (Andrea) Muench, Barbara (Robert) Blackwell, and brother-in-law of Mary Lou Muench and Gloria Muench. Herbert is also preceded in death by his two brothers, John Muench and Palmer Muench.

Herbert was a longtime educator who taught for 25 years, and was a former Principal of St. Trinity Lutheran School, in the Carondolet area of St. Louis. He was a Lutheran minister in both Missouri and Indiana. In his free time, Herbert loved to read, and was quite skilled at woodworking. He is fondly remembered for his patience, generosity, and quiet, caring nature. Herbert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
