Cowart, Herbert H., of St. Charles, MO, died on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the age of 89. Loving husband of the late Shirley Cowart; beloved son of the late Daniel and Laura Cowart; devoted father of Donna (Michael) McNiff; dear father-in-law of David Disbrow; cherished grandfather of Michael McNiff, Jr., Matt McNiff, Dr. Laura (Craig) Hartman, Scott (Jennifer) Disbrow, and Jeff (Amanda) Disbrow; treasured great-grandfather of 14; dear brother of Lorean (Candler) Register and brother-in-law of Margaret Cowart; and also dear uncle, cousin, and friend. He is preceded in death by his daughter Janet Disbrow and 7 siblings.
Herbert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was the owner of Trans Equipment Services (TES). Herbert was a board member of both Defense Orientation Conference Association and Children's Home Society, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family and friends.
