Hermina “Meme” Koester

Koester, Hermina “Meme” (nee Hallemeier), of Saint Charles, MO, Thursday October 12, 2017, age 88. Loving wife of the late Guy L Koester; beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Ida Hallemeier; dearest sister of Margaret (the late Marvin) Regot; sister-in-law of Joan Hallemeir; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Eunice (Carl) Baum; and brother, Raymond Hallemeier.

Meme owned her own upholstery shop called Hem Upholstery for many years before retiring.  You could always find her knitting or sewing something for a family member. She was a funny, sassy person and even at times a real spitfire.  She was always up for trying something new. She enjoyed playing bingo and became very social in her later years.  She loved her nieces and nephews dearly especially her great nieces and nephews. To her family she was more than just an aunt or great aunt, she was like a mom and grandma to all who loved her.  Meme was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
