Hilda Schumpe (nee Plyley) died Wednesday December 5, 2018. She was born June 8, 1921, daughter of Fred Secrest and Vivian Kennedy Plyley of Vonore, Tennessee.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin John Henry Schumpe, parents and only brother, Fredrick Kennedy Plyley in World War II, two sons, Frederick Plyley Schumpe, Barksdale Wilke Schumpe.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lisa Schumpe and numerous family and friends.
Hilda was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and the PEO Sisterhood.
Memorial contributions may be made in Hilda’s honor to PEO Sisterhood Scholarship Fund, Leukemia Lymphoma Society in honor of her son Barksdale, or Fredrick Plyley Schumpe Memorial Phi Kapp Sigma Scholarship Fund at Drury University.
