Howard "Butch" Stanley Kirkpatrick II, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Peggy "Lynn" Kirkpatrick; cherished son of the late Doris and Howard Kirkpatrick, Sr. Devoted father of Sweeda "Jeannie" Kirkpatrick, Vonnie Dunsworth, Zach (Kelsey) Burris, and Sam (Melissa) Burris; loving grandfather of Ariana McGuire, Cameron Dunsworth, and Brody Dunsworth; dear brother of Karen (the late Jim) Eberhart, Bennie (Cindy) Kirkpatrick, Cassa (Larry) Kampmann, Ryan (the late Nancy) Jurgens, and the late Eddie Kirkpatrick; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Butch proudly served in the United States Navy, demonstrating his commitment and dedication to his country. He was also a valued member of the Knights of Columbus, reflecting his deep sense of community and service. Butch had a great love for the outdoors, and he found immense joy in spending time at his cherished lake home.
In his professional life, Butch was an accomplished Master Electrician. He took pride in owning and managing his own business, finding fulfillment in his work and the independence it provided. His entrepreneurial spirit was a testament to his hard work and determination.
Butch's affection for his dogs and his grand-dogs was boundless. They brought him endless joy and companionship. His love for his family was equally profound; they looked up to him as a second dad, appreciating his guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support. Howard "Butch" was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Howard "Butch" 's name to Alzheimer's Association.
