Howard E. Gierer, Sr.

Howard E. Gierer of O’Fallon, MO, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday August 29, 2015, at the age of 83. Loving husband of the late Yvonne Gierer; beloved son of the late Frank and Cecilia Gierer; devoted father of Richard (Ranee) Gierer, Howard Gierer, Jr., Lois Staffne, and Evie Rutledge; cherished grandfather of 16 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Gierer and Bud Gierer.
Howard was a member of ICD and a past member of both St. Robert Bellermine Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Howard raised hunting dogs and loved his beagles.
