Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or Ronald McDonald House. Howard Lalk ended his earthly life on January 10, 2005. He was a paratrooper in World War II and owned St. Charles Lift-Truck Services. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jean Lalk; his daughter, Patricia Brooks, husband Bob Brooks and granddaughter Morgan Brooks; his daughter Shelia Burgess, husband George Burgess III and grandson George Burgess IV; and his son Howard Marvin Lalk, his granddaughter Sarah Lalk, his granddaughter Nikki Lalk, his grandsons Nickolas and Christopher Lalk his brother Gene Lalk of Hillsboro, his sisters, Jeanette Farrow of Godfrey, Illinois, Shirley Hickman of DeSoto, Deanna Lang of Montrose, Michigan and Judy Craig of Brooksville, Florida.
