Hoyce Layton, Jr., of Wellsville, Missouri, died on Thursday, August 13, 2014 at the age of 84. Loving husband of the late LaVerne Layton (nee: Henderson); dear son of the late Goldie and Hoyce Layton, Sr.; devoted father of Judy Prange, Vickie Laurent, Terry Layton, and Debbie Crocker; cherished grandfather of 20; and loved by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons Larry Layton and Lonnie Layton; daughter Karen Laurent, son-in-law Sonny Prange, and granddaughter Billie Jo.
Hoyce was a carpenter for 50+ years. He loved to play baseball, watch sports, play cards, and his Min-Pin Cody who was his best friend and companion. Hoyce was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
