Hubert Echele

Hubert Echele, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the age of 91. Loving husband of Mildred Echele (nee: Benskin); dear son of the late Peter and Minnette Echele; devoted father of Gail (Terry) Brakensiek and Denis (Vicki) Echele; cherished grandfather of Katie (Paul) Clever, Matt (Lacey) Brakensiek, Andrew Echele, and Adam Echele; prized great-grandfather of Luke, Jackson and William Clever dear brother of Catherine (the late Harry) Zimmer, Sophie (Gene) Steinhoff, Berdel (the late William) Eilers, Beulah (the late Erich) Ehlmann, Gerry (Mel) Plackmeier, Les (Rosalee) Echele, and the late Orville ( Betty) Echele. Hubert was a painter at General Motors for many years before he retired. He was a long time member of St. Cletus Catholic Church, of the St. Charles Junior Baseball Association, and the Knights of Columbus of St. Charles. He also proudly served his country in World War II. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Cletus Church, or Academy of the Sacred Heart.
