Irene H. Gronefeld

Gronefeld, Irene, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the age of 91. Loving wife of Clarence Gronefeld; beloved daughter of the late Alvin and Hilda Schaefer; devoted mother of Darrell (Alane) Gronefeld; cherished grandmother of Christina and Jonathan Gronefeld; dear sister of Dorothy Ostmann and Verna (Harold) Hackmann; cherished sister-in-law of Eunice Krause, Verna Roth, and Amanda Schaefer; she also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers Irvin and Harold Schaefer.
Irene was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Church and Friedens Church Women's Guild, she was a member of the church choir, she taught Sunday School, enjoyed her friends as well as her church activities, she loved gardening and canned and preserved her harvest, but most of all she loved her family.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical or Children's Therapy School in Mexico, Missouri.
