Johnson, Irene M., nee: Saale, of Saint Peters, MO, originally Berkeley, MO, died on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Earl E. Johnson; cherished daughter of the late Louis and Bertha Saale; devoted mother of Stephen (Tracey) Johnson, Nancy (Rodney) Fleer, Sharon (Larry) Taylor, and James (Kristine) Johnson; loving stepmother of Laura (Thomas) Traber; treasured grandmother of Megan Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Sarah Johnson, Cole Johnson, and Chase Johnson; dear step-grandmother of Kimberly Pakan, Jason Traber, Anthony Traber, and Matthew Traber; cherished sister of Francis (Helen) Saale, and the late Louis P. Saale, Jr.

Irene was married to Earl for 60 years, and she was his everything. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, camping, and going to the casinos. Most of all, she loved her family and always put them first. She made each family member feel special, and truly enjoyed the holidays with her family around her. She was the best mom in the world. Irene was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
