Irene Nagus

Irene Nagus, of Bridgeton, Missouri, died on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the age of 97. Dearest wife of the late Alexander Nagus; dear daughter of the late Antoni and Agnes Lisek; loving mother of Conrad (Sheryl) Nagus and Chuck (Lynne) Nagus; beloved grandmother of Chaun (John) Garvey, Shelly (Andrew) Welch, Andy (Chris) Nagus, Chris (Katie) Nagus, Tim Nagus and Jeff (Cate-fiancee) Nagus; great-grandmother of Caroline, Emily, Lindsey, Anna, Taylor, Allison, Joey and Sean; dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Lisek. Irene was a volunteer at St. Sophia's Nursing Home and a former member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Florissant and former member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Chicago. She enjoyed aquacizing at Florissant Civic Center for over 20 years. Her hobby was remembering the deceased with her daily reading of her extensive Holy Card collection for past friends and relatives.
