Irene Reed of Creve Coeur, MO, passed away at the age of 88 on Thursday, November 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Reed; her parents, Ony and Bessie Hand; and her siblings, Bertha, Joseph, Anna, and Harry.
Irene is survived by her son, Tom (Janet) Reed; her grandchildren, Jessica (Scott) Blake, Sara (Jeremy) Hunt, Nathan (Jill) Reed, Nick Reed, and Kayla McWilliams; and her great-grandchildren, Jemma, Olivia, Sophia, and Mia.
Irene retired from the North County School District in Desloge, Missouri and enjoyed the company she found as a member of the Red Hat Society. She had a great sense of humor and loved her lifestyle of an active grandma. For fun, Irene liked to spend her time taking up a quilting or sewing project, repairing dolls, or playing cards with her friends at the senior center. Irene was also an avid reader who enjoyed sitting down and solving a challenging crossword puzzle. Above everything, Irene treasured her family and loved the holidays and all family get-togethers. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
