Irene Stephens

She died in O'Fallon, MO, June 15, 2008. She was 79. She married James Stephens in St. Louis, MO on March 4, 1947. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruby Harrell, her brother Woodrow Harrell, her sister Evelyn Anthony, two brothers-in-law, Boyd Anthony and Milton Novosak, and a son-in-law Patrick Schmidt. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Stephens of Orchard Farm, MO, her four children Al (Sylvia) Stephens of Athens, AL, Ruby (Richard) Skates of O'Fallon, MO, Ronald Stephens (Blythe Garcia) of Ferguson, MO, and Stephen (Yvonne) Stephens of Orchard Farm, MO, and two sisters, Virgie Novosak of St. Louis, MO and Alene Thomas of Topeka, KS. She was a retired employee of the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a member of the Hazelwood Church of Christ. She was a loving wife of 61 years, mother, grandmother of 12 grandchildren, aunt and cousin.
