Iva E. Denny-Gwaltney

Iva Ellen [Cox] Denny-Gwaltney, of Lake St. Louis, MO traded her earthly body for her glorious eternal body in the early morning hours of September 23, 2022 at the age of 96. She was born October 24, 1925 to Richard & Pearlie [Deffendahl] Cox in Gray Ridge, MO. 

Funeral Services are being held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO 63301. Visitation will be 10:30 family and 11:00 to 1:00 PM for friends. Internment at Baue St. Charles Memorial Gardens will follow the celebration event. 

She will be missed by her children, Mary Ellen [nee Denny] (husband, Harold G. Roberts) Darrell-Roberts; Phyllis Jean [nee Denny] (husband, Carlton “Corky” Kelly) Dwiggins-Kelly; grandchildren, Randy (Sondi) Dwiggins, Heather Marie (Zachary) Gales, Josh (Kim) Dwiggins, Jake (Sarah) Kelly and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jean McMeans-Overton [nee Cox] as well as numerous extended family members and friends. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren and many friends.  

She was predeceased by her parents, daughter- Maza Lee Ellsworth; husbands – Otha Lee Denny and Lloyd Gwaltney; granddaughter – Kim Marie Sheppard, grandson – Zack Kelly; and many siblings.
