J. Joan Esker

Esker, J. Joan (nee: Simonton) of Saint Charles, MO, died Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Jack Muckey; cherished daughter of the late Roy E. and Anna C. Simonton; devoted mother of Doug (Daphne) Esker, Todd Esker, and Janel Esker (Ron Knapp); loving grandmother of Alexander Donald Esker, Jacob Randall Esker, Christopher Steven Esker, and Nora Cecilia Esker; beloved sister of Larry (Janice) Simonton; cherished aunt of Andrea Simonton-Gregg and the late Kyle Simonton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Esker.

Fiercely independent and hard-working, Joan was known for her extraordinary generosity, loyal caregiving and faith in God. She poured herself out unselfishly for her children and grandchildren, who, along with her many lifelong friends, will miss her deeply.
