Jack E. Burke

December 15, 1941 — March 3, 2016

Burke, Jr., Jack E., of Dardenne Prairie, MO, died on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Patricia Burke; cherished son of the late Jack and Thurley Burke, Sr.; devoted father of Jack (Sindi) Burke, Matt (Cheryl) Burke, Tom (Patty) Burke, and Mike (Rene) Burke; loving grandfather of Kate Burke, Ryan Burke, Colin Burke, Nathan Burke, and Alayna Burke; dear brother of Kathleen (John) Sciore. Jack is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Thomas A. “Tommy” Burke, Thurley Jean Miller, and Jacqueline Green.

Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves as a Staff Sergeant. Jack was a financial advisor at Ameriprise Financial for 20 years. Before that, he worked at Hunter Engineering for 27 years where he was a Vice President. He was a member of the Homeowner’s Association in Campbell Villas, founder of the St. Charles United Soccer Club, Soccer Coordinator for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 13 years. Jack’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends and watching his grandkids compete in soccer, volleyball, swimming, hockey, and lacrosse. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
