Friesz, Jack, of Fairview Heights, IL, died Sunday, April 24, 2016, at the age of 65. Jack was the loving husband of Charlotte Friesz (nee: Evans); beloved son of the late William and Mary Friesz; devoted father of Shelley (William) Sawalich and Holley Heidel; cherished grandfather of Evan Heidel, Hunter Heidel, Wyatt Heidel, Margaret Sawalich, and John “Jack” Sawalich; and dear brother of Jane Friesz. Jack is also survived by his beloved cat, Stripes.
Jack graduated from University of Illinois, earning a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Personnel Administration. He then went on to work in the Human Resources industry. He spent the last 10 years with Centene Corporation, working as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist. He was a very proud dad and “Beep” (grandpa) who cherished every moment spent with his family. Jack was also a very proud U of I Alumnus and a huge supporter of the Fighting Illini. In honor of Jack, please wear orange to celebrate his love for his alma mater, the University of Illinois.
Jack chose to donate his body to Washington University School of Medicine in hopes of helping others suffering from Pulmonary Fibrosis.
