Jackie “Jack” Gene Lindsey, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of over 60 years to the late Coral Lindsey; cherished son of the late Charlie and Lora Lindsey; devoted father of Brian Lindsey and Anita (Rodger) Halbrook; loving grandfather of Rachelle (Nick) Scavotto and Daniel (Olivia) Halbrook; treasured great-grandfather of Henry Scavotto; dear brother of Nelson Lindsey, Clarence Lindsey, Charlene Eversgerd and Loran (Debbie) Lindsey; loving uncle, cousin, friend to many. Jackie is preceded in death by five brothers, Reefer Lindsey, Bill Lindsey, Bob Lindsey, Warren Lindsey and Floyd Lindsey.
Jackie proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force Police.
Jackie was a man with a lovely personality who could charm anyone he met, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A devoted member of Fairmount General Baptist Church, Jackie served as both a trustee and deacon for many years, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his faith and community. He was a storyteller at heart, delighting others with the rich tales of his life, and made friends wherever his journey took him.
Jackie’s love for the St. Louis Cardinals was unmatched, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite team. However, his greatest pride and joy were his beloved grandchildren and great-grandson, whom he adored beyond measure.
Jackie’s kind spirit, infectious charm, and deep devotion to his family, faith, and friendships will be dearly missed. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Jackie's name to Fairmount General Baptist Church.
