Jacob C. Schaefer

Jacob “Jake” C. Schaefer, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 62 years to Carol J. Schaefer; cherished son of the late Jacob Sr. and Helen Schaefer; devoted father of Julie Hahn, John (Rhonda) Schaefer, Janice (Mark) Robert, and Jodi (Raymond) Patton; loving grandfather of Joshua (Elizabeth) Schaefer, Matthew (Rianna) Mouser, Shaun (Andrea) Boyland, Natalie (Joseph) Gragnani, Rebecca Robert, Samantha (Travis) Parker, and Mitchell (Skylar) Hatcher; treasured great-grandfather of nine.

Jake was a proud member of the Missouri Air National Guard for more than 40 years, starting as soon as he graduated high school. He was an excellent musician, who in his younger years played trumpet with a Big Band group. His children have fond memories of the times they would spend as a family down at the North River.  Jake was not afraid to work hard, only retiring from Boeing in his 80’s after dedicating over 30 years to his job. His greatest joy in life was his family.

Jake was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Jacob's name to Seasons Hospice.
