Jacquelyn “Jackie” S. Johnson (nee Doom), graduated to heaven on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 82. Her passing was peaceful, with her husband and three sons with her. Beloved wife, best friend, fellow adventurer, etc. of David Murray Johnson of 59 years, 8 months and 7 days; cherished daughter of the late Russell and Garnet Doom; devoted mother of Steve (Cathy) Johnson, Todd (Megan Loeb) Johnson, and Scott (Marla) Johnson; loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren; dear sister of the late Gwen Reeser and Russell "Woody" Doom, II.
Jackie graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors’ in Business Education, where she was also a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
Jackie had a strong foundation of faith and family, instilling her values in her sons. She was one of the Founding members of the Greentree Community Church and then went to be a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in St. Charles, MO where she sang in the choir. She was also a published author.
Jackie was a very supportive mother and grandmother. She loved singing and was a shining light to all she met. She was blessed with many ministry opportunities in her lifetime including forming the “Double Blessings” with her twin-sister Gwen, and cherished the many memories she made with her family. Jackie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Jacquelyn's name to Ridgecrest Baptist Church, St. Charles, MO.
There will be a private (family only) graveside at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery followed with a celebration of Jackie's life at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in St. Charles, MO.
