James M. Boerner

James M. Boerner, of St. Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the age of 75. Loving husband of the late Mariann "Mimi" Boerner; beloved son of Eugene and Judith Boerner; devoted father of Matthew (Stefanie) Boerner, Bryan (Elizabeth) Boerner, and Jessica Boerner; dear brother of Don Boerner (Sue); cherished grandfather of Kaylee Conner, Berkley LaMarque, Ayda Boerner, Wyatt Conner, Jackson Boerner, Silas Majewski and Wesley Boerner; devoted step-father to Jessica Stroup (Chris); cherished grandfather to Henry Stroup and Norah Stroup.

James, a proud United States Marine Veteran who served during the Vietnam War from 1968-1969, pursued his educational aspirations at UMSL and Maryville University, ultimately earning his master's degree. His professional journey led him to become a dedicated Registered Nurse, contributing his skills to DePaul Hospital before embarking on a long and impactful career as an Director of Housing and Pathways Administrator at the Crider Center. Beyond his work, James found joy in his passions, which included competitive bowling with the USBC that led him to the U.S. Bowling Open in Las Vegas, as well as collecting an eclectic array of items like guns, spoons, teapots, and records. His green thumb was evident in his love for gardening, and his warm and cherished presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. James's memory will be treasured dearly, and his absence deeply felt by all.

The family is accepting flowers and/or memorial donations may be made in James's name to Five Acres Animal Shelter.
