James Caito

December 10, 1960 — July 13, 2023

St. Charles, Missouri

James “Jim” Caito, age 62, of St. Charles, MO, passed away from this world at his home on July  13, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Jim was born on December 10th, 1960 in St. Louis, Mo to the late Thomas and Charline (Reininger) Caito.

Jim graduated from Eureka High School in 1980. From there he worked at Chuck E. Cheese as the general manager for many years in both Cape Girardeau, Mo and Paducah, Ky, which made his children think he was a rock star. He was most recently employed by Sessions Fixture Company as a project manager, where he was loved by all that knew him.

Jim loved trout fishing, the beach, and above all, being with his family who loved him beyond measure. He was a lifelong St. Louis Blues fan, and his children always joke that the day the Blues won the Stanley Cup brought him more joy than any of their births.

Jim will be remembered for his humor, kindness, warmth, generosity, and fierce love for his wife and children. He will also be fondly remembered by his oldest daughter for being such a devoted Tom Selleck fan that he replaced her baby picture with an autographed Tom Selleck photograph. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Angie (McDuffee) Caito, his Aunt Carol Reininger, his brothers Ray and Carol (Rupp) Caito, Mark and Nikki (Evans) Caito, children Megan Caito, Alyson Caito, Benjamin Caito, Gio Marasso, grandson Marco James Frazier Caito, and a host of family and friends.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time by the family.

James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
