Wilmeth, James D. “Jim”, of Hazelwood, MO, died on Friday, October 28, 2016, at the age of 58. Loving husband of 37 years and high school sweetheart to Vickie Kay Wilmeth; beloved son of the late James S. and Denene V. Wilmeth; devoted uncle of Kelton, Tina, Christopher, A.J., Ashley, Sarah, Amanda, Peyton, and Lydia; Dear brother of Tami Oppedahl and Mari (Kevin) Handy; brother-in-law Mark (Lisa) Jozsa; beloved akitas Sam, Sophia, and Akasha.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Marvene Barrick, paternal grandparents, Freeman and Charlotte Wilmeth, two Brother-in-Laws, Fred Long, and Raymond Phillips.
Jim was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He graduated from Lakeview High School, in Decatur, Illinois in 1977. Jim was a sound tech for “Rebel Train Band.” He loved music, traveling, motorcycles, and was a big St. Louis Cardinals fan. Jim was proud of family history including relatives McLean Stevenson, actor “MASH”, and vice president Adlai Stevenson. Jim was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
