James E. Augustus

James E. Augustus of Troy, MO, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at the age of 78. Loving husband of 57 years to Katherine B. Augustus; beloved son of the late Alfred M. and Mabel J. Augustus; devoted father of Dawn (Dave) Turner, Kirk Augustus, Bret (Micki) Augustus and Beth Augustus; treasured grandfather of Amber (Dan) Willis, Logan Hey and Kayla (Cody) Bright, Megan Augustus, Clayton Augustus, Trenton Augustus, Briana Augustus, Jesse Augustus and Alex (Michelle) Augustus, great-grandfather of Jack, Molly, Kaiden, Karlee, Chris, Liam, Luke, Gus, Chayce and Mallory; dear brother of Larry (Phyllis) Augustus.

Jim was also preceded in death by his grandson Jake Augustus and brother Gary Augustus.

Jim was naturally talented and began playing the piano at age 3. He was a dedicated Corvette lover and belonged to the National Corvette Restoration Society. He was also active in many Corvette clubs throughout the years and had a passion for racing and restoration. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and is dearly loved by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Jim’s name to Alzheimer's Association, Friends of Kids with Cancer, JDRF in support of Juvenile Diabetes or Suicide Prevention Awareness.
