James E. French, of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Helen French; cherished son of the late James French and the late Bethel Tyler; devoted father of Terry (Michelle) French and Bob (Valerie) French; loving grandfather of Kyle French, Krista Huskey, Taylor French and Peyton French; treasured great-grandfather of Caden, Colton and Callen Huskey; dear brother of Barbara (Howard) Jones, the late Harvey (Linda survives) French and the late Russell (Sharon survives) French.
James went to Arkansas State University, where he got an education degree and married the love of his life, Helen. He was a lifelong educator, who started teaching at 19. He taught in Hazelwood School District, eventually becoming a principal, then retired for the first time after 30 years. James also taught and served in Leadership roles at Missouri Baptist University from 1993-2013. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, especially Star Wars books and singing in choirs in the Baptist Churches he was a member of. James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
