James E. Murray

Murray, James, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the age of 80. Dearest husband of nearly 60 years to Betty June Murray (NEE: Whitmer); beloved son of the late Marvin and Lula Murray; devoted father of Brenda Heusler, Mark Murray, and Rex (Amanda) Murray; cherished grandfather of Nathan, Ryan, Justin, & Connor; and dear brother of Etta Kazzee, Aubrey Murray, Leroy Murray, Retta Cox, Mary Jones, Marvin Murray, Jr., Donald Murray, and Ronald Murray. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. James bravely fought life's adversities, and proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machinist, which was an extension of his talents as a craftsman and mechanic. James was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was also a gifted cook. Even with all of these, his greatest passion was love for his family, especially his grandkids. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
