James E. “Jim” Schoolcraft

October 25, 1943 — November 13, 2013

Schoolcraft, James E. "Jim", of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the age of 70. Loving life partner of Andrew Simon for over 30 years; beloved son of the late Orval and Bonnie Schoolcraft; devoted father of Eric (Russell Tallant) Schoolcraft, Jim Schoolcraft, Jr., and David (Becky) Schoolcraft; cherished grandfather of Hayley, David, and Alysa Schoolcraft; treasured uncle and great-uncle of Hilary (Buck) Brown and her sons Colin, Carter, and Cole Brown; dear brother-in-law of Charlene Rosche, Janet (Steve) Zielinski, and Msgr. Joseph M. Simon. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. Jim is preceded in death by his sister Janet Vergara and brother-in-law James Rosche.
Jim was a Vietnam Naval Veteran. He then worked as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service for more than 20 years and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) branch 343. Jim loved his job and all of his interactions with the customers he delivered mail to. Jim will be truly missed by all who knew him.
