Memorials may be made to 798th Reunion Group Charitable Fund. Please join us in celebrating the life of James Edward Sturgill Jim was enthusiastically welcomed into Heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 22nd, 2009. He was with us for 78 years. For those of you who had the pleasure to know him, you can imagine that great smile as he heard the words "well done my good and faithful servant!" Jim enjoyed 56 years of wonderful marriage to his beloved wife, Wanda. He is also survived by his proud and loving sons. Jim and wife Linda, of St. Charles. Bob and wife Lori, of Springfield, Mo. If you ever wanted to see Jim's smile light up, just talk to him about the treasures of his life, his grandchildren: Jim (28), Brian (26), Jeanne (24), Lauren (24), Sarah (14), Adam (14), Steven (13). Jim proudly served his country and maintained lifelong friendships as part of the 798th Radar Squadron of the Air Defense Command of the United States Air Force. Jim worked and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller at St. Louis Lambert Airport. He invested his professional life to help keep America's skies safe and free. While Jim was an avid sportsman, bird hunting was near the top of his favorites. He was a very strong Christian and member of Fee Fee Baptist Church. We all look forward to seeing that wonderful smile and hearing that great laugh again in the future.
