James Francis Griesenauer

James Francis Griesenauer, of O Fallon, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Betty (Ell) Grisenauer; Cherished son of the late Edward and Hildegard Griesenauer; devoted father of Michelle Mayhew, Vicky Lynn (David) Spahn and Steven (Nicole) Griesenauer; loving grandfather of Kelly (Tony) Buttry, Hannah Spahn, Nicole (Craig) Powell, Danielle (Cody) Hendrickson, Candace (Stan) Musil, Cody (Moriah) Griesenauer, and Haily (D. J.) Quaethem; dear brother of Ralph (Doris) Griesenauer; James is also survived by his beloved dog Fritz.

James was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and American Legion #388; He worked as an auto-mechanic all his life and he was the Owner/Operator of O’Fallon Garage in O’Fallon, Missouri with his brothers. James later owned Griesenauer Automotive at the same building. He was a woodcraftsman who enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in James's name to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
