Seamon was born December 6, 1937 in Richmond Heights Missouri to Josephine and George Earl Seamon. His loving parents preceded him in death. James is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Seamon of St. Charles Missouri, one daughter, Anne M. Gliedt (Michael) of St. Louis Missouri, two sons, John T. Seamon of Alamogordo New Mexico, and William T. Seamon (Shanna) of Crosby Texas, one sister, Elizabeth Aliesch (Fred) of Tulsa Oklahoma, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Seamon. Mr. Seamon was the Chairman of the St. Charles Transit Authority, and was a member of several organizations including the St. Louis chapter of the National Railway Historical Association, the Transportation Museum Association, the Railroad Enthusiasts, the Citizens for Modern Transit, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and of the St. Louis Railway Club. He retired from ACF Industries after nearly 20 years of service, after which he worked for the East West Gateway Coordination Council as a Transportation Analyst. Mr. Seamon also authored several magazine articles and numerous letters in local newspapers.
