James J. Litteken

Deacon James J. Litteken, of St. Charles, Missouri, fortified in the sacraments of the church, Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the age of 74. Cherished son of the late August and Cyrilla Litteken; devoted father of Eric (Karen) Litteken, Katie (Reid) Roberts and the late Christopher Michael Litteken; loving grandfather of Bailey, Taylor, Cole, Brennen, Grant and Jack; dear brother of Elaine (the late Rufus) Fixin, Eilleen (Wiford) Stoll, Edward Litteken, Sr. Clare Ann Litteken, Leroy (Glenda) Litteken, Cyrilla (Leo) Sommer, Rita (Terry) Lesley and Kathleen (Michael) Carapella; James is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.

James was a Deacon at St. Paul Catholic Church and a retired Fire Chief of the Cottleville Fire Protection District. He also retired from the Missouri State Highway Department and from First State Bank in St. Charles, Missouri. Spending time with family was everything to him. When he was not with his family, his faith with the Church was very important to him. James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in James's name to St. Vincent DePaul Foundations for St. Joseph’s Parish Cottleville, MO.
