James “Jay” Haywood, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the age of 59. Beloved husband of Patricia A. Haywood; cherished son of the late James and Rose Mary Haywood. Devoted father of Kaitlin (Thomas) McGinley and Ashley (Tony Gambaro) Haywood; dear brother of Stephanie Haywood and Thomas (Sue) Haywood; dear brother-in-law of Linda (Charlie) Skotniski; loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Jay and Pat celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this year. He most enjoyed spending time with his girls and traveling for gymnastics meets. Jay was a friend to all and known to never have a sad face. He loved the outdoors and the adventure of trying new things. He was very generous and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Jay worked in the automotive industry most of his life and was very handy with tools and remodeling. He even taught his girls how to use power tools. He loved the tv show "Friends" and listening to the familiar re-runs. Jay loved sports. He enjoyed playing and watching golf and was an avid Cardinals and Blues fan. Jay was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
