Dear son of the late James Jefferson Newsom, Sr. and Ruth Mae Newsom; devoted father of Cherie Sue Newsom; dear step-father of Gerald Johnson and the late Candy Sue Johnson; dear grandfather of 3 Granddaughters, Alexis Sue Mae Hendrix, Faith Marie Sue Hendrix and McKenzy Deeann Hendrix; dear brother of Raymond (Peggy) Newsom, Harold (Barb) Newsom, Douglas (Alice) Newsom, Bessie (Terry) Miller, Mary Kreuger and his late infant brother, Raymond Edward Newsom. He was our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to all who knew him. He was employed as a Mechanic at General Electric in St. Louis, Missouri for 22 years before his retirement.
