James "Jim" A. Lynch, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the age of 87. Loving husband of Dolores Lynch (nee Heuring); beloved son of the late James Christopher Lynch and Ella Margaret Lewis; devoted father of James Michael "Mick" (Debbie) Lynch, Mark Bradley (Vivian) Lynch, Steven Craig (Karen English) Lynch, Dale Alan Lynch, and Teresa Ann (Karl) Schuemann; cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; dear brother of Elizabeth (Mark) Mueller and the late John Lynch.
Jim was born in Cape Girardeau on October 11, 1933. He went to St. Mary’s high school in Cape Girardeau and graduated in 1950. Jim then earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Missouri, Rolla in 1955. In 1956 Jim went to work for Emerson Electric and was there for 40 years before retiring in 1993. Jim married the love of his life, Dolores, in February of 1957.
Jim was a faithful and founding member of St. Cletus Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing. Fly fishing was his specialty and he often made his own flies. Overall, Jim loved to spend time with his family and friends. Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Jim's name to St. Cletus Catholic Church.
