James “Jim” Lee Kitrel

James “Jim” Lee Kitrel, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 44 years to Julia Kitrel; cherished son of the late Merton and Dorothy Kitrel. Devoted father of Brian (Janice) Kitrel, Linda (Greg) Horn, Matthew (Kathy) Kitrel, and Donna (Hugo) Cano Bravo; loving grandfather of Grace Kitrel, Heather (Stephen) Kitrel-Holbert, Katie Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Allison (Daniel) Easley, Samuel Kitrel, Timothy Kitrel, Ada Medel, Sofia Medel, and Daniel Cano Bravo; dear brother of Peggy Whiteman, Gary (Elizabeth) Kitrel, Susan Kitrel, Dennis (Judy) Kitrel, and Linda (Steve) House. Jim is also survived by his ex-wife, Janet Kitrel. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews, cousin and friend to many. Jim was a truck driver for 30 years at United Parcel Service. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening vegetables, and for 11 years he took his beloved dog, Hammi to the park every day. Jim had a passion for sports and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved to go golfing and bowling. Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
