James “Jim” Leslie Sparkman
December 9, 1933 — August 28, 2021
James “Jim” Leslie Sparkman, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Norma Sparkman; cherished son of the late Leslie and Bessie Sparkman. Devoted father of Leslie (David) Cochran, the late Gary Sparkman, and the late Larry Sparkman; loving grandfather of Tyler (Taylor) Carlson, Terra (Preston Arthur) Cochran, Erika (Nick Hepperman) Cochran, Madison (Nathan Thrall) Cochran, Ryan (Sydney) Sparkman, Bailey Sparkman, and Patrick Sparkman; treasured great-grandfather of Sophia, Conner, Finley Carlson, and Rowan Sparkman; dear brother of Glenda Anderson, Lillian Griffey, the late Anna Mae Miller, the late Maxine Sewell, the late Nancy Booher, the late Ruby Mayberry, and the late Gene Sparkman.
Jim proudly served in the United States Army. He was very hardworking and could master anything. Jim enjoyed tinkering around the house and you could often find him outside, working in the yard or admiring the hummingbirds. Jim was a man of great faith and treasured his family. Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
