James “Jim” Dee Kennedy, of Warrenton, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Janice Kennedy; cherished son of the late Enoch and Maxine Kennedy; devoted father of Kevin (Tina) Kennedy, Sarah (Chris Miles) Kennedy and the late Amy Denise (Rick) Johnson; loving grandfather of Ryan, Meghan & Erik Kennedy, Lauren, Alex & Hayley Kennedy; great-grandfather of Peyton, Nova, Wesley and Oliver; Jim is preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Leora Kennedy.

Jim was a lifelong learner and problem solver, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas and was a proud supporter of his alma mater. He later earned a Master's Degree in Telecommunications from Washington University, contributing to a fulfilling career where he thrived in problem-solving and helping others.

A true tech enthusiast, Jim embraced all things technology and enjoyed travel, photography, woodturning, stained glass, and puzzles of all kinds—especially word puzzles. His love for reading was a constant throughout his life, always seeking knowledge and new challenges.

Jim honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force, carrying with him a deep sense of dedication and service. His friendship, kindness, intelligence, and passion for discovery will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Jim's name to Stand Up To Cancer.
